Romelu Lukaku won’t return to Chelsea training as he waits for Inter Milan move
Romelu Lukaku is keen on moving to Inter Milan permanently and now he won’t show up for training for Chelsea as the striker only wants a return to Inter.
According to the Telegraph, (h/t Daily Mail), the former Everton striker has no interest in participating in Chelsea’s training and would instead wait for both clubs to reach an agreement soon.
The 30-year-old trained alone as he posted a story on Instagram with the caption ‘last night’, which seemed like he was practising indoors, which gives Chelsea another reason to sell him for good.
However, Fabrizio Romano has reported the striker is due to participate in Chelsea’s training from 17 July onwards but Inter will make an improved bid in the coming days. But he adds that the player himself hasn’t taken any decision on that yet.
The 30-year-old has made his intention clear that he wants to only play for Inter Milan, despite interest from Saudi clubs and Inter’s rival clubs AC Milan and Juventus.
What next for Lukaku?
However, the Blues have set a £40 million price tag for the outcast striker, which Inter have failed to match so far. Mauricio Pochettino was also questioned about the Lukaku saga, and the manager said he wanted the striker to come to his office and say hello if he plans on continuing his time in SW6.
After joining the Blues in the 2021–22 season, the former Manchester United star laboured to make an impression and was ultimately loaned to Inter. He was part of a Nerazzurri team that finished runners-up in the UEFA Champions League final last season.
He clearly doesn’t want to play for Chelsea any longer, and the Blues should get rid of him sooner than later as his transfer saga is now turning monotonous and keeping him wouldn’t make sense. His sale will also help the Blues dump his large wages from the books. Selling him will also free up space for other signings if Chelsea decides to bring in another striker.

We most definitely don’t need a player who lacks respect for the team and is attempting to leave by avoiding training right now. Chelsea needs to act immediately and permanently get rid of him since the situation is now turning into an insignificant saga.
