League One side Reading are interested in signing Chelsea youngster Tino Anjorin
As per a tweet from Darren Witcoop of the Mirror, via Reading Chronicle, Reading have registered their interest in signing young Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin during this summer transfer window.
It is revealed that Anjorin is set to leave Chelsea on loan this summer. The Blues want the player to move to an English, preferably in the Championship. But, Reading, a League One side, have declared their interest now.
The Royals have a good relationship with Chelsea as Blues midfielder Cesare Casadei spent some time on loan there last season. Baba Rahman has played for them in the past as well.
Anjorin is an attacking midfielder who has played as a central midfielder and wide midfielder so far in his career. He joined the Chelsae youth academy six years ago.
The 21-year-old had a loan spell at Lokomotiv Moscow for the first half of the 2021/22 season. For the second half of that season and the entirety of the last campaign, he was playing for Championship side Huddersfield Town.
Anjorin, who has made five senior appearances for Chelsea, has featured 78 times for the various club youth sides, scoring 35 goals and assisting 18 (Transfermarkt).
Although Reading are not currently in the Championship, a loan spell there would not be bad for the England U20 international. If he goes there and helps the Royals to come back straight to the second division of English football, the experience gained would be valuable for his potential Chelsea career in the future.

If Reading get him, it would be great if their boss plays the 21-year-old in his favoured number 10 position. By doing that, the coach can extract the best out of the player.
