A View From The Bridge

Three Premier League clubs circling Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi

A trio of Premier League clubs are vying for the signature of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi

According to Evening Standard, three Premier League clubs – Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Cobham graduate, who had an underwhelming loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season, is all set to leave Stamford Bridge permanently this summer.

It is revealed that the 22-year-old will snub offers from the club in the Saudi league to focus on moving to a fellow Premier League club. Three of them are already vying for his signature too.

Three Premier League clubs want to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea.

Palace might look to replace Wilfried Zaha with Hudson-Odoi should the former not sign a contract extension with the Eagles following the expiry this summer.

Forest and Fulham, who are fighting over who will sign Brazilian winger Willian, may go for the Chelsea youngster if one of them misses out on the aforementioned winger.

Hudson-Odoi was a promising young player who came out of the Academy here and did well in patches. The lack of consistency was there for everyone to see but ignored because of his age.

Despite all of that, he is still only 22. A good move this summer may propel him to do wonders for his next club. He has the talent, pace, dribbling quality and much more to be an exciting winger in the Premier League for years to come.

Although his Chelsea career may have come to a stop even before it properly started. Let’s hope that he discovers his best form at the next club. Once he gets that, he would be one of the sought-after players in the country.

It would be interesting to see which club signs him. This may become a transfer race, with the best offer being accepted by the Blues in the coming days. It would be sad to see another academy graduate leave, but he hasn’t done anything special to suggest the club should retain him.
