Nicolas Jackson credits his Chelsea teammates for helping him adjust to his new club
Nicolas Jackson claimed his Chelsea teammates are the reason for his fast start to a new life in West London after the Blues secured a 4-3 pre-season friendly win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Blues displayed a dominant performance as they were 4-1 up before the Seagulls threatened to make a comeback as they scored two goals before full-time, and his showing also earned him the Player of the Match award.
The new signing from Villarreal had two assists and a goal to his name and will be hoping to translate the same performance when the new season begins.
The youngster has stated his Chelsea teammates are responsible for a quick start to new life at Blues after his performance against Brighton in their ongoing pre-season tour in the USA.
The 22-year-old has thanked his teammates, (h/t Daily Mail) and speaking to NBC’s Rebecca Lowe after the match, Jackson claimed:
”I’m really happy with my teammates. I’m feeling really good here with everybody. So, that’s why I’m performing well in every game. You know, when you’re okay with everybody, you perform every game. I’m so happy for the team and everybody.”
It’s also fantastic that he assisted in the buildup. The combination play he displayed with Mykhaylo Mudryk demonstrated his versatility as a striker. There could be a situation where Jackson may have to be our main man up front from the get-go.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined Olympique de Marseille while Romelu Lukaku’s future remains uncertain. If we don’t sign a new No. 9, Jackson could be our go-to man. His teammates are also doing pretty well to prove their worth as creators and goal-getters.

We have a fantastic talent available in Jackson for next season, and ideally, Mauricio Pochettino will aid in his further development since there is undoubtedly still an opportunity for growth. We have seen players exhibit such a high level of passion in the past two games, and we hope that this fervour will continue into the upcoming campaign.
