Transfer Guru backs Chelsea star to undergo Serie A medical this coming week

Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea ace Christian Pulisic will undergo his AC Milan medical soon

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is set to undergo a medical test in the coming week to finalise his move to AC Milan on a permanent deal in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old will sign a contract that will be valid until 2027, as the former Borussia Dortmund star was keen to join Milan despite interest from Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais. A move to Italy should help the youngster resurrect his career.

Milan’s first two bids were rejected by Chelsea, but a $24 million deal has seen the Blues finally accede. Pulisic will now become the latest player to leave the club in what has so far been a mass clearout.

Personal terms between Pulisic and Milan were agreed long ago, as the 24-year-old only wanted to move to the Serie A club. As long as he clears his medical, there is little reason to believe there will be a late twist in the tale.

Following the completion of Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s transfer to AC Milan, Pulisic will now be the second player to sign with Chelsea. The American star will also run into Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud, two former Chelsea teammates at the San Siro.

The Blues will make another respectable sale once Pulisic’s transfer to Milan is complete after selling players like Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount to Premier League clubs. Hopefully, we will also re-invest the sum back into the squad before the summer transfer window slams shut.

The West Londoners are gradually reducing their overcrowded roster to create room for fresh additions and balance the books. Since Pulisic is still young and has a lot to contribute to football at the moment, he will be a good signing for Milan. Even though his tenure at Chelsea wasn’t all that great, he still contributed and helped the team win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.

Like his former teammates, he should be able to recapture the form he couldn’t find at Chelsea last season and establish himself as an indispensable part of the squad for the Serie A club, It’s also excellent that we avoided giving him to one of our Premier League opponents this time.
