Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic is attracting attention from Lyon and AC Milan
As per the Daily Mail, Christian Pulisic is closing in on a move to AC Milan after they made their opening offer for the USMNT star, but Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyon are also pushing for his signing.
However, Milan’s opening bid of £12 million ($15 million) has not met Chelsea’s asking price for the 24-year-old, which could give Lyon an advantage. This after they made an offer of around £15 million plus add-ons. However, the failure to qualify for European football could affect Pulisic’s decision.
Nonetheless, it is understood that Lyon’s effort to lure the former Borussia Dortmund star won’t change his mind about joining them, as Pulisic has set his mind to join AC Milan. Moving to Italy will give him the opportunity to get a flagging career back on track.
Meanwhile, Milan’s offer combined with Pulisic’s estimated salary should save Chelsea £24.8 million, a small fortune that can be reinvested elsewhere. It will also give them salary space to bring in more players this summer.
Pulisic’s time at Chelsea has fallen well short of expectations despite a strong debut campaign in Blue. Injuries and a general lack of consistency have largely impacted his standing at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old has made only 145 appearances and scored 26 goals for the West Londoners across all competitions.
While both Milan and Lyon greatly benefit from adding Pulisic, Chelsea appear unlikely to sell him on their terms. At the moment, Lyon have offered more than Milan, which might persuade Chelsea to transfer him to a Ligue 1 team. But with Pulisic keen to move to the San Siro, something has got to give.

Given that Pulisic is still young and has his best years ahead of him, he is worth more than what Chelsea are demanding. Hopefully we can reach a compromise soon as a parting of the ways is the best foot forward for all parties involved.
