Tottenham Hotspur star and Chelsea target Harry Kane is building a new home near Cobham
Chelsea target and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is building a new home just 15 miles from Cobham, hinting that a move to the West London giants could be on the cards in the near future.
As per the Telegraph, (h/t The Sun) this could open the door to a surprise move for the North Londoners striker to Stamford Bridge for free next season. Kane is currently in the final year of his contract at N-17 and has shown little to suggest penning a new deal.
The 29-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract and has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane. Chelsea are among the suitors but are yet to make a concrete move for him this summer.
Bayern Munich seems to be leading the race to land the English superstarl despite Daniel Levy’s reluctance to sell the striker after the hiring of Ange Postecoglou. However, if the England skipper fails to make a move away from Tottenham, it’s likely the striker will leave for free next year, with hosts of European clubs interested in signing him.
Chelsea have been interested in signing the striker, and Mauricio Pochettino, who worked with the 29-year-old during his time at Spurs, can convince the forward to join for free next season. But Kane has now himself opened rumours of joining the West Londoners, as the striker is nearing the conclusion of his new home at Wentworth Golf Club.
If the striker moves there, his family will move out of their current Hampstead home. But the Blues are not keen on making an imminent offer for the hitman nonetheless. Surely if the move is to happen, the commute will not be much of an issue.
We are unsure whether or not to believe this type of report given that it will be difficult to sign the striker this campaign even if he moves closer to Chelsea’s training ground. He has also previously stated he will not join Chelsea in order to preserve his Tottenham legacy. However, anything can happen in football, and we have certainly seen contentious transfers in this sport.

Kane moving to a new home close to Chelsea’s training facility shouldn’t raise our chances, but at least we can hope it does. Landing a player of his caliber will certainly be a massive boost in our efforts to boost the goalscoring numbers.
