German insurance giants keen on forging major long-term association with Chelsea

Chelsea have finally landed a shirt sponsor after agreeing a deal with Infinite Athlete .

German giants Allianz are keen to enter the fray to sponsor the Chelsea jersey

German insurance giants Allianz are keen to become Chelsea FC’s shirt sponsors and are also keen on bringing the Blues’ new ground into their family.

According to the Daily Mail, Allianz is among the names mentioned as a potential replacement for Three, whose deal with Chelsea is at an end. One of the biggest clubs in world football, we should have no scarcity of suitors.

For now, Stake.com is leading the race to be Chelsea’s new shirt sponsor. But such a move is not without risks given the Premier League ban on betting sponsors.

Allianz are also looking for a shirt sleeve deal, and Chelsea are contemplating renaming their stadium once the future of their future plans are decided. Now the Insurance company is seriously looking to sign a long-term deal with Chelsea, as per the source.

The Blues also require strong financial support from their sponsor for the upcoming campaign in order to balance the books following the club’s large-scale expenditures on recent transfers.

The club now has a bloated squad, and Chelsea wants to get rid of the unwanted players before the upcoming season. Mauricio Pochettino is scheduled to take over as manager on July 1.

Allianz remains the likely option as Chelsea’s next shirt sponsor.

Going with Stake.com looks perilous because they are a wagering company, and the Premier League could make life difficult for us. Allianz appears to be a good sponsor, and we hope they provide greater value than what Three did.

Given their heavy spending in the previous two transfer windows and their failure to advance to the Champions League the following season, it makes sense that the Blues would like to secure a more financially stable sponsor who can cause less of a stir. However, such a sponsor carries a certain amount of danger and could further endanger the team, as we saw with Ivan Toney.
