Chelsea target Moises Caicedo has agreed personal terms with Arsenal
According to the Ecuadorian media outlet Teradeportes, (h/t Mirror) Chelsea target Moises Caicedo has reached a contract agreement with Arsenal.
With Chelsea and Arsenal interested in recruiting the midfielder, Caicedo has been considering his options. However, thanks to the Gunners’ Champions League qualification, he has already agreed personal terms with the North Londoners.
The 21-year-old midfielder was about to leave Brighton Hove & Albion during the winter transfer window, but the Seagulls were reluctant to let him go.
Arsenal made a bid to get the Ecuadorian as well, but Brighton turned it down. He then signed a new contract with Brighton, but that hasn’t deterred the youngster from being linked to Premier League clubs, though.
Caicedo has been significant to the Seagulls this season, helping them advance to the European League for the upcoming season.
Additionally, it is known that Chelsea will pay more than their London rivals, and Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign the midfielder as well. The Blues are expected to use Lewi Colwill as their bargain player to sign Caicedo, for whom Brighton have asked £75 million for.
It’s understandable that Arsenal’s participation in the Champions League would convince him to sign with them, but we can also offer him that in the forthcoming season. Every club endures a poor season here and there.
However, with the correct hiring and a suitable manager, we should quickly resume competing for trophies. Caicedo hopefully knows about Mauricio Pochettino’s reputation as a manager who brings the best out of young stars on the verge of a breakout.

But so does Mikel Arteta. We beat Arsenal to the punch for Mykhaylo Mudryk by offering more money. Hopefully, that tactic works here. We can use a classy central midfielder like Caicedo, who looks like a player who can replace N’Golo Kante in the long run.
