Galatasaray president comments on Chelsea star Joao Felix’s social media activity

Chelsea’s Joao Felix has followed Galatasaray on Instagram fueling transfer rumours

Joao Felix’s has sparked another transfer rumour after he followed Galatasaray on Instagram. The 23-year-old is expected to return to Atletico Madrid after his loan at Chelsea expires.

However, given his tense relationship with head coach Diego Simeone, it is also unclear whether the former Benfica forward will stay at the Spanish club, and the Rojiblancos have been excellent in La Liga since the Portuguese were sent on loan to West London

Meanwhile, Chelsea have decided to send Felix back to Atletico, as Mauricio Pochettino has opted not to include him in his plans.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a reasonably short stint at Chelsea, scoring four goals in 16 Premier League games when he arrived in January. Felix is available for sale from Atletico Madrid, but no team seems willing to match his asking price.

However, after following Turkish club Galatasaray on Instagram, Felix has hinted at another transfer rumour. And acknowledging that Felix followed the Turkish club, (h/t Daily Mail), Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek claimed:

‘’The fact that Joao Felix is following Galatasaray shows how important Galatasaray is.’’

It would be a surprise to see Felix already exiting the big five European leagues for a club like Gala. With all due respect, he can still play for a club challenging for the biggest trophies on the continent.

Felix is still one of the best players and is capable of having a significant impact on any team, as he did at Chelsea in a relatively short amount of time. However, it’s a pity that we won’t be seeing him continue at the club next season.

However, if Atletico lower its asking price then clubs could come to the fore for him. Now that’s not an easy task. Mind you, this is a player that cost them €126million.

More Chelsea News:

It’s time to get over this sage. Felix is a jack of all trades in attack but seemingly a master of none. That isn’t meant to sound rude. Chelsea just would be better off deciding to get a proper No. 9 in. They already have the other pieces in attack.
