£21m-rated Chelsea star open to making AC Milan switch

Christian Pulisic is open to making a move from Chelsea to AC Milan

As per Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, via SempreMilan (h/t Football.London), Chelsea and USMNT forward Christian Pulisic is open to making a move to Serie A side AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

After another underwhelming season at Chelsea, Pulisic is all set to leave the club this summer. The Blues would demand as little as £21m for the former Borussia Dortmund star. The player is ready to take a pay cut to make sure this move happens.

The 24-year-old played a key role in Chelsea’s Champions League success in 2021. Apart from that, he has struggled for consistency both in terms of performance and availability. Having to deal with multiple managers since arriving at the club in 2019 did not help matters.

The USA superstar is still young enough to make a move elsewhere and reignite his career. A technical league with a lesser pace compared to the Premier League may suit his game. The Serie A is exactly that.

So, in a way, this potential move may suit both Pulisic and Chelsea. The latter could do with some money through player sales to use that for making key signings in the transfer market.

The Blues could do with a striker from the start of the next season. Hence, they are in the race with Real Madrid for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. Any progress on that front may happen after the Champions League final on Saturday.

More Chelsea News:

Coming back to Pulisic, we wish him all the best wherever he goes next. Chelsea fans won’t forget his contribution during the 2020/21 Champions League campaign. In the 2019/20 season, it was his goal against Manchester City that won Liverpool the title. Not that the latter needed any favours as they were leading the league by a long margin anyway. But still!
