Agent labels young Chelsea target as ‘best African player’ in the last decade

Chelsea target Adama Bojang’s agent has confirmed the forward has attracted interest from top European clubs

Adama Bojang’s agent, Sacha Empacher, has praised the youngster’s attributes and compared the player with the likes of Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Mohamed Salah, and Victor Osimhen.

It is also understood that the player has been on the radar of Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Lens, Eintracht Frankfurt, and RB Leipzig.

The revelation came when he appeared for Gambia in the U20 FIFA World Cup in Argentina, which Uruguay won. The 19-year-old helped his side reach the round of 16 and also registered a brace against Honduras.

Chelsea and other European clubs interested in signing Adama Bojang.

He followed up the same performance at the U20 African Cup of Nations campaign, during which he was named team of the competition and scored four goals.

Adama’s agent has praised his qualities and believes that in the near future, he will be one of the best African forwards in football. His agent, (h/t Standard Evening), Sacha Empacher, was speaking to Sky Germany and said:

“Adama is the best African player I’ve seen in the last decade. He has the potential to become one of Africa’s great forwards. Along with Drogba, Eto’o, Salah, and Osimhen.”

Bojang is another outstanding prospect who has the potential to develop into a top-tier striker in the not-too-distant future if he maintains his current strong form. Chelsea have demonstrated initiative by signing young players as they try to construct their project around them.

Adama Bojang’s agent praises forward qualities.

It depends on who can persuade the 19-year-old to join their team and how many European clubs are interested in recruiting him. The comments by his agent can obviously be a tactic to raise his client’s valuation, so we are better off going by our own scouting reports rather than his words.

It would also be wise for the Blues to go for a more seasoned striker for the upcoming campaign, as we cannot wait for the player to take one or two seasons to acclimatise to the league. A huge reason for the horrific showing across competitions last season was the failure to score goals.

If Bojang can’t solve that right now, he isn’t worth our time, frankly. We have spent too much time and money on youngsters. It’s time to sign players who strengthen our first XI instantly.
