Rudy Galetti has claimed Mauricio Pochettino considers Dusan Vlahovic perfect striker for his Chelsea plans

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, manager Mauricio Pochettino sees Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as the ideal striker for his system at Chelsea.

The Blues will need a striker for next season, and while Chelsea have expressed interest in a number of strikers, no formal negotiations have begun.

Vlahovic has emerged as another alternative for the Blues, although they have yet to submit an offer or begin talks with Juventus.

The Serbian striker may depart the club as a result of the points reduction for Juventus, which will miss out on the Champions League next season. The same can be said for Chelsea, who are currently in 12th place in the Premier League.

And speaking of Give Me Sport, Galetti said the Argentine manager sees the former Fiorentina striker as a perfect player for his system and said:

“The Blues could make a concrete move for the Serbian, especially because the next manager, [Mauricio] Pochettino, considers Dusan the ideal striker for his tactical idea. The player likes the destination, and reaching an agreement on personal terms wouldn’t be a problem. Let’s keep an eye also on Bayern Munich, who have Vlahovic at the top of their list along with Harry Kane.”

The 23-year-old is a remarkable striker, but there are a few areas that he needs to improve on, and with a period of time, he will grow into a top-class centre-forward.

With Pochettino identifying the Serbian forward as a suitable player for his style of play, the club ought to think about signing him given he is only 23, and under an ex-Espanyol coach, he will unquestionably learn a lot of things to develop into one of Europe’s top No. 9s.

More Chelsea News:

His spell at Juventus has been rocky and perhaps he can rekindle his career at Chelsea. But keep in mind, the Serb will be under more spotlight and scrutiny here, because of how the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have failed.

Expectations will be high but that doesn’t mean we don’t take a punt of a forward who set the league alight with Fiorentina and showed at Juventus that can also lead the line for a big team.
