“A good manager”- Madueke makes his feelings clear on Pochettino’s appointment

Noni Madueke feels Mauricio Pochettino is the ideal manager for Chelsea

Following the formal announcement of Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager of Chelsea, January signing Noni Madueke admitted that he is looking forward to working with the Argentine.

The former Tottenham boss has a proven track record of building teams and it will be put to the test at Stamford Bridge. The Blues ended their disappointing 2022/23 campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to fourth-placed Newcastle United.

Madueke was one of our better performers on the night and continues to show much promise. He will be expected to kick on next season, following a full pre-season.

The January signing was a Tottenham Hotspur youth product during Pochettino’s management of Spurs. However, it was in the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven that he eventually shone. Tottenham’s loss is Chelsea’s gain and hopefully, Pochettino will get more out of him.

Madueke stated that he is eager to work together with the former Paris Saint-Germain manager next season. According to the Metro, he has a high opinion of the Argentine and has appraised his vast experience across several clubs.

‘‘I think he is a good manager. He has been in big places around the world, and he was a great success in the Premier League. I am looking forward to working with and learning from him.’’

Under Pochettino, Madueke should mature into a top-tier player. The 21-year-old has already demonstrated the ability to succeed. He can dribble, makes great passes, and is constantly eager to show his worth.

He did not have the good fortune to work with the former Espanyol manager at Tottenham, though. However, Pochettino turned Son Heung-min into a world-class player and can hopefully bring that magic touch with him to West London.

More Chelsea News:

Imagine what he can accomplish once he hits his peak, at age 21. Pochettino will have a very long offseason because he is inheriting a team that lacks confidence and It will be interesting to see how he turns things around.
