Juventus and Napoli have expressed interest in signing Chelsea star Christian Pulisic
Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has drawn interest from Napoli and Juventus. (h/t Daily Mail) The USA international is one of the players the Blues hope to offload during the summer transfer window.
Since Chelsea wants their star striker, Victor Osimhen, so Napoli’s involvement might add further heat to the negotiations for both players. The West Londoners already have a large squad and will need to reduce it; as a result, several players will leave the club.
Additionally, they will be financially impacted by their failure to advance to the Champions League. And Pulisic, who has had a season marred by injuries, has made just eight Premier League starts for the Blues this year and has scored just one goal overall.
Meanwhile, the Blues are currently 11th in the table and won their first game in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth under Frank Lampard, who was appointed interim manager.
Mauricio Pochettino is also reportedly close to being named Chelsea’s permanent head coach for the upcoming campaign. The former Southampton manager’s desire for the former Borussia Dortmund winger to stay with the team is also unknown.
Pulisic has seen very little action this season due to injury, and now the manager is preferring other players over him. And it is also unknown if next season he will see enough game time given the signing of many youngsters.
Considering that he is only 24 years old and still has a long career ahead of him, joining either of the teams might help him resurrect it. Chelsea may not want to keep him for the upcoming season, and even if they do, he will have to compete for a slot.
