Massimo Brambati, an Italian football agent, has claimed that Chelsea are one of the European clubs that have made an offer to Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic.
Chelsea are looking for a striker after a dearth of goals this season. There are a number of attackers the Blues are interested in signing and the Serbian is an excellent option.
Vlahovic emerges as a new possibility for the West Londoners. This is despite the fact that the 23-year-old was previously linked with a move to Arsenal before joining Juventus this season.
However, the Serbian striker has fared decently for Juventus, scoring only 10 goals in 26 Serie A appearances. It can be argued that the striker has flattered to deceive at the Allianz Stadium.
And as Italian agent Brambati said, three clubs have already shown up to land the former Fiorentina striker. Speaking to TMW Radio (h/t Express), he revealed:
“There are three teams that showed up. In my opinion, Juve will take these offers seriously. All of them have an important profile because they’re Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid.”
“I don’t know if the capital gain will be made [on Juventus’ initial investment], but after a year and a half of Vlahovic, they’ve already amortised a year’s gross salary and a good part of the amount invested too.”
Vlahovic appears to be a viable option in our search for a proven striker next summer. While he has struggled in the Juventus system, there is every reason to believe he can thrive at Stamford Bridge. Crafting opportunities hasn’t been difficult for the Blues, but they need someone who can put the chances away. This is where Vlahovic comes in.
But for next season, we will require a striker who can offer us goals and doesn’t take long to establish himself in the Premier League. The Serbian hasn’t been as letha of late, but with age, he can undoubtedly evolve into one.
Vlahovic has the makings of a world-class player and could thrive under Mauricio Pochettino. It was, after all, the Argentine who converted Harry Kane into a prolific number nine.
