Thiago Silva’s wife Isabelle da Silva, admitted that the defender is struggling and she is feeling helpless following Chelsea’s latest defeat, adding that she is unsure how to comfort the Brazilian ace after losing, with his state of mind deepening when he returns home.
Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal means they have now gone winless in their last six games under interim manager Jose Mourinho, leaving them in 12th position in the Premier League amid their hopes of finishing within the top four this campaign.
The defeat to Arsenal brought them even with their dreadful form under Glen Hoddle in 1993, when they finished 14th. Despite all of their expenditures, Chelsea have remained a fragile team, being overpowered even by clubs in the lower echelons.
Meanwhile, their next two games are against Bournemouth on Saturday and Nottingham Forest on May 13th. And three of the remaining five games are against Manchester United, Manchester City, and Newcastle United, so things could get even worse.
As Silva’s wife claims, the players are suffering as the situation at Chelsea worsens, (h/t Express). She took to Twitter to say:
“Very difficult to see what I see on tv. At home the situation worsens because I don’t know how to help, what to say. Very sad @tsilva3 you aren’t alone.”
Silva’s wife’s reaction to Chelsea’s recent struggles is understandable, but our team’s players have all been mentally impacted by the team’s string of losses, making this season one of the worst ever.
Despite the fact that some have been excellent and others have put up dismal displays, the 38-year-old, who is at the forefront of his game despite his advanced age, has continued to be our key defender, appearing in 23 Premier League games.
Silva’s wife is known to comment a lot on her husband’s teams, his opponents and even his teammates. This time, however, she hasn’t said anything controversial and is making sense. Her husband has actually been one of our best, most consistent players during his horrific time.
