Chelsea ready to pay a king’s ransom for prodigious Spanish international midfielder

Chelsea are ready to go all out to sign Barcelona star Pablo Gavi

Premier League giants Chelsea are prepared to spend a fortune to bring in Barcelona star Pablo Gavi and make him the highest-paid player in the squad.

Furthermore, according to AS, (Daily Mail), Chelsea has already spoken with midfielder agents and is eager to make him their most expensive player. The future of Gavi at Barcelona is questionable since the teenager was not able to register for the first team and there has been an ongoing dispute between his club and La Liga over his contract.

Barcelona were unable to register Gavi due to financial issues. And if it persists, he will be free to sign with another team in the summer of 2019. It is an opportunity that seldom comes calling and Chelsea will be wise to take advantage of it.

Barcelona are yet to register Gavi

Chelsea have already talked with the 18-year-old’s representatives and are prepared to spend a significant amount of money to sign him in the summer. The youngster would certainly future-proof a key area in the Blues’ roster.

Additionally, it is known that Chelsea’s initial meeting with Gavi representatives was productive, and a second meeting to discuss the next steps is soon to be scheduled. Todd Boehly is expected to attend the second meeting alongside Gavi’s parents and agent, retired Spanish footballer Ivan de la Pena.

Barcelona, which are unable to sign Gavi, are searching for a way to do so and are certain they will succeed before the upcoming season. The youngster is certainly no short of options.

Chelsea wants to make Gavi their highest earner.

Gavi is a fantastic player, and the fact that he was able to establish himself in Barcelona’s Senior team’s starting lineup at the age of 17 speaks volumes about how good he is for someone so young. Given his playing style is also one of the most aggressive players who enjoys pressing hard and regaining possession, which Chelsea certainly needs.

However, elevating him to one of the highest earners at the club may cause problems since it may leave youngsters feeling a bit dissatisfied. But if we can get the Spanish midfielder, it would be the best signing anybody could make.
