Wesley Fofana claims Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk is quicker than Kylian Mbappe
Wesley Fofana asserts that his Chelsea teammate Mykhaylo Mudryk is quicker than his French compatriot and footballing superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup champion Mbappe, who is now establishing his stature in football, has already been compared to two of the game’s all-time greats, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fofana may soon be playing with Mbappe should he make his French debut in the international break. He has already faced off against the PSG man during his earlier stint at Saint-Etienne.
Mudryk, who moved from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea for a hefty £88.5 million sum, is yet to hit his stride at Chelsea,. But the 22-year-old finally made a goal contribution when he provided an assist to Mateo Kovacic in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Leicester City last Saturday.
Mbappe, on the other hand, has already cemented himself as Paris Saint-all-time Germain’s leading scorer. The 24-year-old has been putting goals in the back of the net and is one of the contenders to win the next Ballon d’Or.
The presenter asked Mudryk what talent he wanted on his FIFA video game during their challenge on the Chelsea YouTube channel (h/t Football.London), and Mudryk answered with speed. The host then questioned Fofana whether Mudryk was the fastest player he had ever faced.
Fofana instantly said “Yes”, while Benoit Badiashile was quick to ask him “And Mbappe?”, Fofana was clear with his stance as he said” “No chance [Mbappe is faster]. It’s finished.”
Maybe Mudryk could be faster than Mbappe in terms of speed, but the Frenchman has a far higher status in the sport than the Ukrainian.
Mbappe has already proven himself as a future star by winning the FIFA World Cup and breaking numerous records in football despite being just two years elder than Mudryk. He has also been compared to superstars like Messi and Ronaldo is one of the biggest things for a player, and he is one of the most consistent players in PSG history.
