Chelsea owner Todd Boehly reacts awkwardly to win over Leeds United

Todd Bohely gives awkward reaction when asked about Chelsea’s win over Leeds

When the referee sounded the final whistle, there was a sigh of relief as Chelsea managed to win, and it seemed to Graham Potter that some pressure was finally reduced after a string of poor performances.

Wesley Fofana’s header helped the Blues defeat Javi Gracia’s relegation-threatened team at Stamford Bridge. The win against Leeds was only Chelsea’s third in 16 games.

Only three of Graham Potter’s team’s shots were on goal, and they fell short of expectations in their display against the underdogs.

The victory is the club’s first in eight games and second in 12 overall under the 47-year-old, who has played in 27 games for the team since succeeding Thomas Tuchel and has lost 10 more games than he has won (10).

Also, the club’s Todd Bohel was present in the stands and watched his team finally eke out three points in a hard-fought match.

When asked about Chelsea’s performance in a tense victory over Leeds on Saturday, Boehly gave a succinct three-word response. The American businessman responded boldly when questioned about whether he liked what happened versus Leeds (h/t Daily Mail):

‘It’s a result’ (before smiling)”

Boehly give his verdict on Chelsea win over Leeds United.

However, this victory has greatly boosted our morale going into the second leg against Borussia Dortmund at Chelsea Bridge. This undoubtedly relieved Potter of some burden, but the outcome was unsatisfactory. We were in control and created plenty of opportunities, but our execution lacked.

In a particularly excellent first half-hour, we had numerous opportunities to score more goals. For example, Kai Havertz was denied in a one-on-one situation, Joao Felix hit the crossbar, and Ben Chilwell missed a clear opportunity to score.

More Chelsea News:

Bohely obviously would not be content with the outcome and would demand more from the players and Potter given how much he invested in the club squad. And hopefully, in the Champions League game, the former Swansea boss won’t let him down.

It was, nevertheless, good to see the owner in good spirits, even if it was a cheeky smile. He would surely understand that a string of good results has to start from somewhere. Hopefully, this was the turning point of Potter’s era in SW6.
