Romano names this Champions League-winning manager as an option for Chelsea job

Fabrizio Romano hints that Luis Enrique could be an option for Chelsea

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano (via Pys) [h/t Football. London], former Spanish national team manager hints that Luis Enrique wants to return to management as soon as possible and could be an option for Chelsea should they sack Graham Potter.

Chelsea have been on a roller coaster ride in recent weeks, with pressure mounting on Graham Potter after a string of disappointing results. Rumours have been circulating that the club is considering a managerial change.

Luis Enrique is a well-respected figure in the world of football, having enjoyed a successful playing career before transitioning to management. He has managed some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Barcelona and AS Roma.

His track record speaks for itself, and it’s no surprise that he is being touted as a potential candidate for the Chelsea job. Enrique is known as an excellent tactician and he might be what the team needs.

Time is no longer a friend for Graham Potter, with the team struggling to find consistency in their performances. Despite some promising results earlier in the season, the team has suffered a dip in form.

Chelsea’s owners are known for their impatience with underperforming managers in the past, and it’s possible that they may be considering a change at the top. Todd Boehly did not wait too long before sacking Thomas Tuchel either.

Enrique is an option for Chelsea

Luis Enrique’s interest in the Chelsea job is encouraging news for the club’s fans. The Spaniard is known for his attacking style of football and his ability to get the best out of his players.

He has a track record of winning trophies and has a wealth of experience in managing some of the biggest names in world football. His appointment would undoubtedly be a statement of intent from the Chelsea hierarchy.

More Chelsea News:

Of course, the prospect of Luis Enrique taking over at Chelsea is still just speculation at this stage. Graham Potter is still the current manager, and the club’s owners may choose to stick with him for the time being. However, it’s good to know that we have an exceptional manager waiting in the wings.
