Manchester United target Mason Mount wants Liverpool move

Chelsea star Mason Mount is seeking a move to Liverpool in the summer window

Mason Mount is now looking to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and a move to Liverpool is looking more realistic.

According to Football Transfers (h/t 90 min), Mount might cost the Reds roughly £50 million, and Chelsea will need to make a crucial choice because a move to a big-six opponent for an academy graduate would probably leave many fans unsatisfied.

Additionally, if the no-contract talks go well, the Blues will be obliged to sell Mount since they would not want to give him away for free.

Should Chelsea sell Mount in the upcoming window?

Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen’s free departure rankled the Todd Boehly regime. Boehly reportedly hesitates to raise Mount’s pay because he wants it to match that of new hires.

Boehly and Clearlake are eager to adopt incentive-based agreements in contrast to Mount’s accomplishments, which often call for a substantial pay raise right away. But, nothing has been resolved as of yet, and a transfer away for the England international seems looming.

Mount has missed Chelsea’s last three games, and his most recent appearance was in a 2-0 loss against Tottenham Hotspur.

A problem would arise if Mount were given away for nothing, and the fans would be disgruntled. Fans will undoubtedly be intrigued as to what is going on behind the scenes because he hasn’t played in the last three games.

And if he is unable to participate in games, he will unintentionally miss the training sessions, which every player does when they want to leave the club and this would harm the friendship between Graham Potter and the midfielder, which is something we do not want.

And then he will force a move-out, which may happen this summer, and selling him for £50 million seems low given his youth and potential to contribute greatly to other clubs.

Liverpool and Manchester United, in particular, can make the most of a player of his talent. If we are to lose him, then it should be to a club outside England. That will be in our best interests.
