Football performance coach James Ralph posts photos of the physical progress made by Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah
James Ralph shared in an Instagram post about Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah, 23, who has transformed his physical attributes in order to earn more playing time.
Ralph’s post amply displays how hard Chalobah has worked for six months in order to transform his physical appearance. A much fitter player, he is better equipped to handle the physical exertions of the top flight.
Before the World Cup, the academy graduate was a consistent starter. But since then, he has struggled for playtime. Benoit Badiashile’s arrival in January has not improved matters either.
And in order to compete for his position, Chalobah has put a lot of effort into developing his muscles and training. He has been training with football fitness coach James Ralph.
On his social media page, Ralph shared a picture of Chalobah next to a comparison of his six-month physical change The 23-year-old’s consistency and sincerity throughout his workouts have also been acknowledged by the coach, (h.t Football.London).
“Trevoh’s attitude is incredible; he (I don’t think he would mind me saying this) has in the past not been as consistent. As soon as he was able to commit to the long-term plan, his results have skyrocketed on all fronts: strength, power, and speed.”
It’s nice to see that the 23-year-old has been working diligently to boost his playing time, and this is the kind of mindset that players on the team should have to compete for positions.
Chelsea’s defence has ample depth, and in terms of choices at the back, Chalobah trails Thiago Silva, Kalidou Kouliabaly, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile, who joined Chelsea in January.

Graham Potter has expressed less optimism about the Englishman, but if he succeeds in competing for a spot, that would be a positive sign. If not, he has the option of leaving the club during the summer transfer window in order to play more because he is still young and clubs would be willing to purchase him.
