“You never know” Chelsea star refuses to rule our Bundesliga switch

Chelsea star Kai Havertz could consider a future move to Bayern Munich

According to Bild (h/t Evening Standard), Chelsea star Kai Havertz is not averse to reuniting with former Blues boss Thomas Tuchel, at German champions, Bayern Munich.

Havertz was a key member of Tuchel’s Chelsea team during the 2020–21 season and scored the game-winning goal in the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City. It is to this day the standout moment in the youngster’s career at Stamford Bridge.

Moreover, the German international was moved to the number nine position owing to Romelu Lukaku’s inconsistent play in front of the goal. In some ways, it played to his strengths and Havertz enjoyed a fine spell in front of the goal.

Nonetheless, Havertz continued to play a significant role under Graham Potter after Tuchel was fired. He has not been out of a job for long, taking over from Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Havertz is having a difficult year this campaign. The 23-year-old has scored just seven goals in 27 Premier League outings. The former Bayern Leverkusen player has also been candid about leaving the club in future (h/t Evening Standard); in an interview with Bild, he discussed how his future at Chelsea is uncertain and said:

“Bayern are generally a huge club that it’s hard to say no to as a German player, but my personal goal has always been to play abroad at some point. In England or Spain.”

But the future is what matters, and for now, we require him until the end of the season. If we can sign a striker, Havertz will likely be moved to the right side, where he can move more freely and readily distribute the ball forward.

It’s unfortunate that three years have passed and he hasn’t been able to properly establish himself, but that’s acceptable because he is just 23 and still has a long way to go before he becomes well-known.

More Chelsea News:

Hopefully, we see a more confident Havertz next season, as he is still one of the best players for the club, and once he finds his form, he is certainly a threat in attack.
