“Be patient” Chelsea midfield assures fans that results will soon pick up

Enzo Fernandez believes Graham Potter is the right man at Chelsea and he needs support of fans

Graham Potter, according to Enzo Fernandez, only needs more time to see success and the support of his Chelsea faithful.

With their loss against Southampton, which was their second straight setback across all competitions, the former Brighton, Hove, and Albion boss received jeers from the crowd.

Only six goals have been scored by Chelsea in their last 15 games across all competitions, with 23 goals in 23 Premier League games highlighting their largest issue.

But, the Argentine midfielder who joined in January believes Potter is a perfect choice and the supporters should exercise patience.

Enzo Fernandez believes Graham Potter will turn things around at Chelsea.

Fernandez is still getting used to Chelsea and their style of play, but he is confident that Potter, given the chance, can take the team forward.

The 22-year-old joined Stamford Bridge during a trying time for the team and hasn’t experienced a win in his first four outings across all competitions.

The 22-year-old appealed for support from fans as there are many new faces in the Telegraph interview (subscription required; h/t Mirror.UK) and continued:

“I would encourage the fans to be patient. We have got a lot of new faces here, and it is a restructuring of the club and the playing staff. Trust us.”

“Trust the players, trust the backroom staff, and trust the manager. Never forget that we are representing you and that we are trying to win games, starting on Sunday. Then we can start to turn things around.”

Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

It makes sense that when a new manager is hired following a poor run under the former head coach, the public wants to see results right away.

But football is not simple. When players or managers perform poorly, they get booed by fans which has a significant negative impact on their performance

Nonetheless, we think Chelsea still have that enthusiasm, and a victory would really transform the path of the team. And fans should continue to support the club and managers even if we don’t get great results since their support is crucial during games.
