“And then it’s about how the team can function better. He can help and show his quality.”
His relationship with Atletico Madrid’s manager has broken down as the player is reported to be unhappy under him, and it appears that the player is unlikely to return to the Spanish club.
However, his performance up until the conclusion of the season would be crucial in determining whether he is deserving of staying at Chelsea, as his performance in a single game is insufficient to demonstrate whether he could be a part of the team.
It’s still unclear whether Chelsea will pay a large enough sum to activate his release clause, but we hope he impresses us with his play because he’s still young and might be part of our rebuild in the future.
