Chelsea Andrey Santos establishes his value by helping his side in winning the Copa America
Chelsea have done abundant signings and all had their chance to make their debut in the games, although only one signing is yet to make his debut. Andrey Santos, a £13 million signing from Vasco de Gama, joined the team in January (h/t Football.London).
This is because the player captained the U20 Brazil team in the Copa American, which came to an end yesterday after three weeks of competition. Santos undoubtedly made headlines as Brazil won the tournament.
He was Brazil’s captain and scored in their decisive 2-0 victory over Uruguay. The teenager tied Chelsea target Vitor Roque for the most goals in the tournament with a total of six goals.
His track record undoubtedly speaks for itself and illustrates the value he will add to Chelsea’s midfield once he joins the team.
But first, the West Londoners must resolve their visa and work permit problems. If they are unsuccessful, Chelsea may decide to let the teenager depart on loan.
The Blues have reportedly applied for an exceptional talent waiver since Santos does not have sufficient points to be eligible for a UK work permit. Chelsea will be thrilled to welcome the 18-year-old back once we have cleared up his work visa because he has proven his value.
He has a tonne of talent, and his addition to the middle of the field will undoubtedly strengthen our midfield, as well as his 37 games with Vasco, where he scored eight goals.
Given that he is young and will surely require time to play in the Premier League and would also have a competition once N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic return from injuries, Potter could be patient with him and give him enough time.

He will have a lot to offer once he joins the squad, but will likely see less playing time than other players but might serve as a set of fresh legs to add some pace and creativity to the game as a substitute.
