Glen Johnson feels Harry Kane should move to Chelsea if he leaves Tottenham Hotspur

Despite the Blues not being linked with Harry Kane anytime recently, Glenn Johnson via the Express believes that the striker should go to Chelsea rather than Manchester United.

“I think pretty much any team would benefit from signing him.” Who needs him most right now? Probably Chelsea.”

“Making a move from Tottenham to Chelsea is a big call, but I can’t really see him ending up there if I’m being honest.” “Let’s face it, if he stays at Tottenham, he’s not winning anything, and it would be a shame for a player of his ability to have a career where he doesn’t win anything.”

Chelsea boss Graham Potter on the Palace win and Mykhailo Mudryk signing.

Kane has been linked with Manchester United, and the striker may be seeking a move as his rising frustration over capping off his successful career without a trophy, despite playing for Spurs since 2013.

In 413 games for the North Londoners, the former Leicester player has scored 265 goals. He also made the Champions League final in the 2018–19 season but lost to Liverpool.

The player tried to drive himself out of North London last season, with Manchester City interested. Spurs were hesitant to let him go; hence, the player ended up staying put.

But now that the 29-year-old’s deal is set to expire in 2024 and no talks have yet taken place to extend it and Manchester United are contemplating a move for England’s skipper to Old Trafford, (Transfermarkt).

Harry Kane could be a transfer target for Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s biggest concern has been Tottenham’s poor performance and a mounting apprehension of losing the top Champions League spot. Regardless, Kane has remained true to his form this season with 15 goals in 19 games in the Premier League.

Glenn Johnson, however, believes Kane should sign for Chelsea rather than Manchester United because he has the expertise to break Chelsea’s “nine curses,” which has been following the club. And since the departure of Didier Drogba, only a select handful of the club’s high-profile strikers have met the criteria.

More Chelsea News:

And Kane undoubtedly possesses that talent given how frequently he has led the Spurs to victory single-handedly. Furthermore, if Chelsea do pursue him, he will undoubtedly be a terrific addition to the team considering he is only 29 years old, has a lot of potential, and will largely eliminate our need for an infallible goalscorer.
