Boost for Chelsea as Reece James and Ben Chilwell return to training
According to Evening Standard, Chelsea receive a massive boost as Reece James return to training, joining Ben Chilwell and new signing Mykhailo Mudryk.
James has been out of action since he returned from his knee injury in the win over Bournemouth on December 27 and suffered another setback. He has missed a lot of games this season.
Chilwell, on the other hand, has been out of action since November, when he suffered a hamstring injury in the game against Dinamo Zagreb. The injury also made him miss the World Cup along with James.
Last week, Standard Sport reported that among the first-team players out injured, Chilwell will be one of the first ones back in contention to be in the squad for the coming games.
Along with the English duo, new signing Mykhailo Mudryk has also seen training with the team. He was announced as a Chelsea player on Sunday for a deal worth £88.5m.
With a big game coming up against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, it is a massive boost for Graham Potter to have these three players training, especially Chilwell and James.
We still do not know whether James would be fit for the next game, but these are encouraging signs. Chelsea have missed the services of both the English fullbacks on either side of the field. They can be dangerous going forward and solid defensively.
If Mudryk trains well for the next three days, he could well be in contention to start at the weekend. He has the pace and trickery to cause trouble to a wobbly Liverpool defence.

While the win over Crystal Palace stopped the rot, there was a lot to improve from the performance viewpoint. We hope that a full week on the training pitch would help the manager to iron out some deficiencies and play even better at Anfield.
