Agent of Chelsea target Denzel Dumfries confirms he is happy at Inter Milan
Speaking to Rai Sport, as quoted by Calciomercato (h/t Football. London), agent of Chelsea target Denzel Dumfries talks about his future plans and claims that he is very happy at Inter Milan.
Dumfries has been linked with a move to Chelsea for quite some time now. He is considered their ideal reinforcement in the right-back position and they will not like the update that his agent has.
Dumfries is one of the most talented attacking wing-backs in the world. His performance for the Dutch national team and Inter Milan has won him a lot of plaudits in the last few seasons.
At his best, the Dutchman can absolutely turn games on its head. He is excellent at getting forward and also adept defensively. The 26-year-old is the perfect definition of a modern wing-back.
Rafaela Pimenta, the agent of Dumfries has come out and revealed that his client is very happy at Inter Milan and loves playing for them.
“I think Inter are happy [with him]. Today, he is an Inter player, he has the Nerazzurri colours in his heart. Then we’ll see what happens.”
The Blues will not be happy about the fact that Dumfries’ future seems to be at Inter but that will not stop them from trying. Playing in the Premier League is tempting for any player.
As talented as Reece James is, he has had enough injuries in his career for Chelsea to realise that it is not really wise for them to keep him as the only option in that position.
The Blues will be looking to bring in someone who can compete with James and also play when the Englishman is not available. Dumfries seems like the most logical option.

If the Dutchman is not available though, the Blues have to see other options. There are not many quality options out there but if we were to hunt, we can find alternatives to Dumfries.
