Todd Boehly looking to move fast and beat rivals to Joao Felix signing
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is looking to move fast and beat rivals like Manchester United and Arsenal to the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan.
Joao Felix has been linked with an exit from Atletico Madrid for quite some time now. The Portuguese forward has not had the best of rapport with his manager Diego Simeone and has found himself benched.
Felix has not really adapted to Atletico’s playstyle. The talented forward does not get enough on the ball and is often forced to do defensive duty. He is not really able to show his full quality yet.
The 23-year-old former Benfica youth sensation is too good a player to be warming the benches in Madrid. He could be available on a loan transfer in January with a number of Premier League clubs interested in him.
When Atletico Madrid signed Felix, huge things were expected of the Portuguese forward. He was highly regarded as the next big thing and to be fair, he still has that ceiling that he can reach.
Felix had a pretty decent World Cup in Qatar on a personal note. The talented forward showed his quality in the showpiece event and he has a huge future in the game.
Chelsea could do with a Felix-like signing for the forward line. He is not the traditional number nine that you can imagine of but he can play as a centre-forward and chip in with goals.
Although Felix would be a great acquisition, he might end up being too similar to Kai Havertz. The German also plays as a centre-forward and having two players of the same profile might not be advisable.

It remains to be seen how the Blues go about signing Felix if they actually want to. It won’t be easy but we cannot put it past Boehly for making it happen.
