“Still no agreement”- Romano provides Chelsea and Real Madrid boost in Endrick transfer race

Romano: Nothing agreed between Endrick and PSG, Chelsea still in the race

According to a tweet from Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano, there is no agreement between Paris-Saint Germain and Palmeiras for a deal to sign Endrick, Chelsea and Real Madrid remain in the race.

A few days ago, it was revealed by the player’s father that the French champions did make a bid to sign the Brazilian wonderkid, but Palmeiras refused (Evening Standard).

Before the World Cup started, it was reported that Chelsea hosted Endrick’s family at the training ground to gain an upper hand in this race. They introduced the player to the veteran defender and Brazil captain Thiago Silva (Daily Mail). The 16-year-old cannot join a European club until he turns 18. So, a move won’t be completed before July 2024.

Endrick is a fantastic player who has risen to prominence in the last year or so. He became the youngest in Palmeiras’ history to make a senior debut aged 16 years, two months and 16 days.

He scored 165 goals in 169 games for various youth sides before making that first senior appearance. He has scored three goals and assisted one in seven league games since.

He is an explosive striker who has great pace and dribbling skills along with good physical strength and chance-finishing capability.

Romano: Chelsea are still in the race to sign Endrick.

Chelsea spent a good amount of money on top young talents in the summer window after the takeover. Co-owner Todd Boehly has a ‘Vision 2030‘ where he intends to sign top young talents, make the youth team strong and simultaneously develop those players into challenging for a spot in the senior team as soon as possible.

Having seen bits of Endrick, we should be excited by the prospect of having the youngster. He has great potential and unmatched skills at such a young age. We can only hope that the club does enough to sign him when the 2024 summer embarks.

More Chelsea News:

He is a player that can be worth a lot in the future and while it certainly won’t be cheap signing him right now, it could still be a comparatively cheaper deal as compared to, say, 7-8 years from now.
