Wilfried Zaha could be available for transfer in January amid Chelsea interest
Crystal Palace winger and Chelsea transfer target Wilfried Zaha could be available in the market in January, according to 90min (h/t Liverpool Echo). The 29-year-old sees his current contract expire next summer.
And now it is believed that the Eagles could opt to sell him in January rather than allow the Ivory Coast international to leave for free. The Blues are said to be “aware” of his situation.
But the west London club are not alone in their pursuit. Liverpool along with Arsenal are also interested in the Palace winger and could too make a move for him in January.
Zaha has been crucial for his side ever since he returned back from his failed move to Manchester United in 2015. Since then, he has been the talisman for his side throughout the many seasons.
This season too has been no exception with the 29-year-old scoring five goals in 10 league appearances for Patrick Vieira’s side. An experienced Premier League winger, the Ivorian has been a constant threat in the opposition box.
With the futures of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech still uncertain, a move for the 29-year-old would make sense. He has been playing in the Premier League throughout his career and would no doubt make a fine addition to Graham Potter’s squad.
He would help in providing depth to the squad, something that will play a very important role in the latter half of the season. Also, the winger can be deployed anywhere in the front three and his goal-scoring ability could help the Blues win some very important points.

It remains to be seen if the west London club does make a move for the winger in January. Fans will hope that in the next London derby against Palace, Zaha is playing for them rather than against them.
