Chelsea consider cashing in on promising attacker for £30m amidst AC Milan interest

Todd Boehly considering cashing in on Chelsea striker Armando Broja amidst interest from AC Milan

Chelsea chief Todd Boehly is considering cashing in on striker Armando Broja amidst interest from Serie A giants AC Milan, according to Italian publication Calcio Mercato (h/t football.london).

The 21-year-old was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the recent transfer window. And now, the Italian outfit are looking to secure the Albania international’s signature from the Blues.

While Chelsea ended up keeping Broja in the summer of 2022, the club could now be tempted to sell the forward for £30 million. The Rossoneri are keen on signing the 21-year-old.

The Albanian star has come up through the youth ranks at the Stamford Bridge side. He got an opportunity to prove himself in the Premier League at Southampton in the previous campaign and took it with both hands.

At the Saint Mary’s Stadium under Ralph Hasenhuttl last season, the youngster featured 38 times in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing an assist.

Upon Broja’s return to Chelsea in the recent summer, most fans wanted the club to keep a hold of him. However, his campaign up until now has been a bit underwhelming. He has not been provided with a lot of game time, either.

While the Albanian has featured in 13 games for the Blues in all competitions this term, most of those appearances have come from the bench. The striker has not had enough time to make a case for a place in the side.

The Stamford Bridge side signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the recent transfer window. And the former Barcelona forward has started in most of the matches since his arrival on deadline day.

However, the apparent number nine curse seems to be continuing. However, the club have evidently made mistakes previously by selling our youngsters too early. Hopefully, Chelsea do not make the same error with Broja.
