Kyle Walker lavishes praise on Chelsea full-back Reece James
Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has praised Chelsea full-back, Reece James. Both the players compete with each other for a place in the England national team.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (h/t Football. London), the 32-year-old believes that the ‘sky is the limit’ for James.
“Unbelievable. He is unbelievable. Just his personality and how he conducts himself around the place as well. The sky’s the limit for him. I think we can see what he has achieved so far in his career, and he is only young.”
Both the players are in doubt for the World Cup next month. Walker had a successful surgery on a groin injury that he picked up during City’s 6-3 thrashing of Manchester United, earlier this month.
James meanwhile limped off during the second half of the Blues’ 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League earlier this week. He is set to see a specialist this weekend and fans will hope everything is alright.
With both the right-backs injured, it will come as a major blow to Gareth Southgate. Both the players were in contention to travel with the squad, but now both of them are a major doubt for the tournament.
Chelsea fans will hope that it is nothing serious for the 22-year-old full-back. James has been one of our best players this season and his absence could prove to be a major loss for Graham Potter.
The 22-year-old has played in all 11 games for the west London club so far this season in all competitions. He also started both the games against Italy and Germany for the Three Lions last month and received praises for his performance from fans and pundits alike.

Potter will likely be without the 22-year-old for his side’s clash against Aston Villa this Sunday. It would be a shame for James to miss the World Cup next month, and both Chelsea and England fans will hope that his injury is nothing serious.
