Club News: Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was seen laughing while Sandro Tonali was making penalty complain

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was seen laughing while AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali was complaining about the penalty incident, reports the Metro.

The Blues were awarded a penalty for a soft foul on Mason Mount by Fikayo Tomori. To make matters worse for the home side, referee Daniel Siebert even sent off the former Blues defender.

While the incident did create a controversy, Jorginho converted the penalty to give his side the lead at the Giuseppe Meazza. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would then make it 2-0 after 13 minutes to seal all three points for his side.

If this was not enough, Sky Sports Italia broadcaster rubbed further salt on the Italian champions as they cut to the Blues midfielder laughing while Tonali was complaining about the penalty and referee’s performance.

It was later shown that the 30-year-old was laughing at the Sky Sports pundits claiming that his side should not have received the penalty. The Italian international disagreed with the pundits but believes Tomori should not have seen a red card.

“I think it was a penalty. Maybe not a red card, but yes a penalty. Obviously, it’s a different game when you are a goal up and against 10 men, it facilitates everything. This time it was us who were facilitated, it’s an important victory for us.”

While everyone has their own opinion on the incident, the Milan fans would have understandably left angered at the clip mentioned above. If the positions were changed, our fans would have probably felt the same.

Nevertheless, it was a very important win for Graham Potter’s side as the west London club now sits top of their table and has a good chance of qualifying for the next round. The focus should be on the game we played even if it did turn in our favour after the 18th-minute red card.

Milan, meanwhile, have a mountain to climb after amassing four points from four games. They trail Salzburg by two points, who are in second position.
