Transfer News: Chelsea are interested in Alan Domeracki from Dundee United
Chelsea and Liverpool are set to battle it out for Dundee United starlet Alan Domeracki. This is according to the Daily Record (h/t Express).
It is claimed that the teenager has been turning plenty of heads. The central midfielder signed his first professional contract with the club, earlier in June.
The midfielder has also visited both the Premier League clubs as he weighs up his options for a move either in January or next summer. United have plans to develop their young players and Domeracki could become their latest export.
He has been on United’s books since he was nine years old. The 16-year-old is tipped to have a very bright future and has been described as a ‘creative, intelligent, technically strong left-sided central midfielder’ on the club’s official website.
Domeracki played most of the last season at the Under-18 level and has graduated from the Scottish FA Performance School Programme. He will hope to follow in Billy Gilmour’s footsteps by making a name for himself at the club and in the Premier League.
Though Gilmour failed to establish himself at the west London club, he is still regarded as one of the brightest talents around. The 21-year-old was sold to Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
Chelsea have one of the best academies in the country. Many graduates have gone on to become established players for both club and country. Domeracki will benefit immensely if the midfielder joins the west London club. He could have a chance to become a regular at the club in the future.

It remains to be seen if the Blues can win the race for his signature. With rivals Liverpool also interested, it will be wise for the Blues to make an offer as soon as possible. United, meanwhile, will hope to earn as much as they can from one of their up-and-coming midfielders.
