Scott Sinclair is training with Chelsea to prepare for his next move
According to the Scotsman, former Chelsea and Celtic winger Scott Sinclair is currently with the Blues to prepare for his next move. The 33-year-old is currently a free agent and any club can sign him even when the transfer window is not open.
Sinclair signed for Chelsea in 2005 from Bristol Rovers and did not really cut it at Stamford Bridge and went out on multiple loans before permanently moving to Swansea City.
The 33-year-old played for Preston North End for the last two seasons before leaving the Championship side in the summer following the expiry of his contract. He scored 14 goals and assisted five in 85 appearances in all competitions for the Lillywhites.
The news came out after Sinclair’s Instagram post attached below:
Sinclair’s Chelsea debut was given by Jose Mourinho. He made only 14 appearances for the Blues, scoring a goal and assisting three. He also has had spells at Manchester City and Aston Villa before getting his career up and running at Celtic.
The Englishman scored 21 goals and assisted seven in 35 league appearances in his first season in Scottish football. He was one of the integral players when Celtic won the treble under Brendan Rodgers.
There is an expectation that the winger could move back to Bristol Rovers, where it started for him back in 2004. Rangers flop Joey Barton currently manages rovers.
It is a good gesture by Chelsea to allow one of their former players to come back and provide him with the facilities to train and remain fit to make the next move.
