Romano: PL rivals “really close” to reaching an agreement with Chelsea forward

Transfer News: Chelsea striker Armando Broja closing in on West Ham move

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea forward Armando Broja will make a decision on his future soon with West Ham closing in on reaching an agreement on personal terms with the striker.

Thomas Tuchel clarified Chelsea’s position on his market availability by declaring that he is not for sale, to the dismay of a number of prospective buyers, including West Ham United, Newcastle United and Everton.

This does not rule out the possibility of him going on another loan after his season-long stay at Southampton the previous campaign. That might be the answer for West Ham and Broja as the Hammers are now close to reaching a personal agreement with the striker.

Of Course, Chelsea will have the final say on the matter and it seems David Moyes’ team is doing everything possible to convince the Blues as both teams remain in constant dialogue over the deal.

There is no doubt that West Ham United is in the lead. Thomas Tuchel appears to have given his approval for things to happen and these talks to move further because the striker is flying back into England from America, or else he would have stayed put.

In addition to his ability to score goals, Broja stood out for his tenacity in the final third and his commanding size. He was therefore a perfect fit for the physical demands of the Premier League, and consequently, this summer, he has been courted by a number of Premier League clubs.

Knowing that the Albanian international has enormous potential, Chelsea does not have the luxury of letting him leave. After sending Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan, the Blues’ goal-scoring unit is also lacking depth. Raheem Sterling was acquired from Manchester City, but Thomas Tuchel may prefer a centre-forward who is naturally gifted.

In the Chelsea frontline next season, Armando Broja may prove to be a vital asset in this regard. However, the Blues might not be able to provide him with enough opportunities with the first team because Sterling, Kai Havertz and Werner would all be fighting to start regularly.

The striker can get much better opportunities at West Ham and could further develop his skills in other areas.
