Official: Omari Hutchinson joins Chelsea from Arsenal

Omari Hutchinson completes shock move to Chelsea from Arsenal

Premier League giants Chelsea via their official site have confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Arsenal youth sensation Omari Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was a member of the Charlton Athletic development academy before joining the Arsenal youth programme in 2015. The offensive midfielder had already demonstrated tremendous promise at a young age and was always going to succeed at the highest level of football.

Hutchinson has improved throughout the previous few years in the Arsenal academy, despite the fact that he has yet to make his professional football debut. One of the most talented prospects in the nation, he was already playing for the Arsenal reserves at the young age of 18.

Given Arsenal’s dearth of Arsenal midfielders for the upcoming season, many even predicted Hutchinson would make his professional debut with the club.

However, In an effort to strengthen their academy ranks, Chelsea have finalised the signing of Arsenal’s young attacker Omari Hutchinson. The 18-year-old will be moving to Cobham, where he will join Chelsea’s roster of talented young players as the most recent addition.

Since the beginning of the 2019–20 season, Hutchinson has established himself as one of the stars of Arsenal’s renowned Hale End academy, contributing 17 goals and 16 assists across the various age-group sides.

Hutchinson’s move to Chelsea is completely justified as there might not have been a clear path to the Arsenal first team for himself. Hutchinson’s chances of playing for Chelsea’s senior team in the upcoming season are slim, but the young star will be looking to win over Tuchel in the coming years.
