Tottenham Hotspur agree personal terms with Chelsea target Richarlison
You can’t sign everyone you set your eyes on, and that is exactly the case here. Richarlison, who has been subject to Chelsea interest in recent days, is closing in on a move to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Everton striker has agreed personal terms with Tottenham and a meeting is imminent between both clubs to discuss the structure of the deal.
Richarlison has now spent five seasons as a Premier League player – four of them in Everton blue, since joining Watford in 2017. Richarlison has scored 53 goals and provided 14 assists in 152 games for Everton.
He was instrumental in helping Frank Lampard’s side avoid relegation last term, scoring some vital goals – including a winner against Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Sky Sports had reported in recent days that Chelsea are considering going up against Spurs for the 25-year-old Brazilian. However, it seems like due to the Blues’ focus elsewhere on deals for Leeds United winger Raphinha, Manchester City star Raheem Sterling and Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, Chelsea are ready to let Richarlison slide.
Raphinha first, then the rest
A meeting is scheduled between Raphinha’s agent Deco and Chelsea to discuss personal terms on behalf of the player. Discussions are also expected to progress on the Matthijs de Ligt front later this week, while a second bid for Sterling also seems imminent.
