Transfer News: Chelsea-linked German star open to PL return

Transfer News: Chelsea target Serge Gnabry willing to leave Bayern Munich for Premier League return

According to the German outlet Sport1 (h/t The Sun), Chelsea linked Serge Gnabry is willing to leave Bayern Munich to facilitate a return to the Premier League. His future at Allianz Arena is clouded by uncertainty as he does not feel valued by his current club at this moment.

Gnabry will see his current contract with Bayern expire at the end of the next season. He has already rejected an extension which has seen him edge closer to a departure. The Blues are in the mix to sign him, but they are joined by Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal as well for his services. Now, Real Madrid have registered themselves in the transfer race as well.

The Madrid-based side are yet to start negotiations with the German international, although that could open shortly following their blow with Kylian Mbappe. Gnabry is open to moving to La Liga just as he is regarding a potential transfer to England in the future.

Chelsea handed initiative?

The 26-year-old’s current stance certainly favours the West London side’s interest as they could use some wingers in their ranks. Hakim Ziyech only had a short spell where he looked finally to be on the right track to reaching his level from his days at Ajax. Christian Pulisic has often done everything well apart from the final delivery, where he falls short on most occasions.

Callum Hudson-Odoi still has many years left in his playing career to reach his full potential. However, he has often been hampered by some kind of issues similar to his recent injury plight. In such a case, Thomas Tuchel could perhaps use someone like Gnabry in his squad, although there are lots of ways to go before finalising a move.

Los Blancos‘ entry does cause concerns as they could potentially be eager to find a suitable replacement for Mbappe. If that is the case, then they could perhaps actively target Gnabry, which is a possibility going by this latest update. However, we must not let up in this pursuit in any case ahead of the next term.

The interested parties from England cannot be taken lightly due to their respective attractive propositions. The Gunners could offer the value of an emotional return, while the Reds could be a great sporting project due to their current stature.

Man United, meanwhile, are looking to rebuild their squad, and perhaps Gnabry could be one of the cogs to help them return to their glory days.

In such a case, it will be interesting to see if we can facilitate a transfer move for the Bavarian winger this summer. If Gnabry is unwilling to renew his deal with Bayern Munchen, the upcoming transfer window is perhaps the only time for them to earn a decent sum, so we would be wise to use that to our advantage.
