According to Football.London, Chelsea are one of the teams interested in Paulo Dybala. On the other hand, the Italian giants were linked with a move for Christian Pulisic earlier this month, as per ESPN, which offers a chance where the Blues could offer the USMNT star in a swap deal.
Paulo Dybala has performed exceptionally during his spell at Juventus. Even though the Italian team suffered this term severely, the Argentinian remained one of the stand-out performers in the group, having secured 15 goals and six assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been sold out by the stature of Dybala and are eyeing adding him to their contingent. The competition has become challenging due to such strong interest from top-tier teams, but Chelsea have an advantage in the race.
Juventus is believed to be interested in securing the transfer of Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic. Chelsea would now have the option to include the 23-year-old American star as part of a deal for bringing in Paulo Dybala, which could seem lucrative enough for Juventus to agree on.
Chelsea forwards have struggled to score goals in this campaign. Big money signings, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner haven’t lived up to the expectations. At the same time, Kai Havertz’s diminishing form has brought on more pressure on the manager.
Chelsea might have to inject quality attackers into the forward contingent to field a competitive team next season. Paulo Dybala seems to be a right fit for the team, considering his experience and goal-scoring consistency in top European competitions throughout the last 4 to 5 seasons.
As the Argentinian star has already given farewell to the Juventus supporters, his departure is inevitable. Juventus find themselves in a position to require a quality replacement, and considering they have shortlisted Pulisic as a transfer target, they might agree to Chelsea’s proposal.
It remains to be seen how the Blues board handles the situation. Having the right cards gives them an advantage in the race, but at the end of the day, the player’s intentions would matter highly regarding his next transfer move.
