Richard Keys urges Chelsea to sign Harry Maguire, Declan Rice and Harry Kane this summer
According to Daily Star, Richards Keys, in his latest column has tipped Chelsea to sign the English trio of Harry Maguire, Declan Rice and Harry Kane. To bolster Thomas Tuchel’s squad, Keys believes the Blues should make a daring triple move for England’s talented trio with the backing of the club’s new owners.
With the takeover of Chelsea by the new owners nearing completion, the club would be looking to make a strong statement in the upcoming summer transfer window. Chelsea’s new owners, according to Keys, should demonstrate their desire to re-establish the club as a title contender by investing the money to sign the English trio.
“I keep hearing Chelsea want to go again – and build an English spine through their team. The new owners will want to make a statement and this might just be it.
Is the English trio a viable option for the Blues?
Keys has explained in his column how each of these players is the best option for Chelsea in the current situation. We need reinforcements in the right areas to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
There are players who want to depart this summer and we would want to make sure our squad is compensated in these positions. According to Keys, Maguire would replace Antonio Rudiger, Rice could eventually replace N’Golo Kante and Kane could step in for Romelu Lukaku.

Kane and Rice would be a good duo to bring in. Considering Maguire’s current form at Manchester United, we are better off keeping our distance from him. We need someone like Rudiger who is pacy and furious to win the ball.
We wouldn’t want to risk experimenting with Maguire because of the defensive exodus and the necessity for a quality centre-back. However, swapping Kane and Lukaku is a smart idea that benefits both Chelsea and Tottenham. Rice is also a good alternative to Kante and has the potential to be a world-class midfielder.
