Juventus are interested in signing Chelsea trio of Jorginho, Christian Pulisic and Emerson Palmieri
According to Italian outlet TuttoSport (h/t Metro), Chelsea trio Jorginho, Christian Pulisic, and Emerson Palmieri have come under the radar of Italian giants Juventus.
After facing a setback in the ongoing season, Juventus are looking to bounce back in the following term. But for that, they would require quality reinforcements in the summer transfer window. The Italian club has eyed a triple raid on Chelsea to do exactly that.
It is believed that Juventus are interested in signing American star Christian Pulisic along with two Italian internationals, Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri, to boost their squad options for the next campaign.
Can Juventus take away three Chelsea stars?
Apart from Jorginho, the other two concerned players don’t have much involvement in the Chelsea first team. Pulisic has fallen down the pecking order following his unconvincing spells in recent terms. At the same time, Emerson Palmieri remains on loan at Lyon after being shipped out in the summer of 2021.
Jorginho’s move seems the toughest, considering he is a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans. The Italian midfielder forms the team’s core, partnering with other Blues midfielders. Therefore, his transfer would create a huge void that would be difficult to fill for Chelsea.
Chelsea tried to bring back Emerson from Lyon in the last winter transfer window to cover up for the loss of injured Ben Chilwell. However, the Italian star decided to stay with the French club, resulting in further difficulties for Thomas Tuchel.
It remains to be seen what future Emerson has at Chelsea. He apparently had a chance to return to Stamford Bridge in January and make a name for himself but that hasn’t happened so far. Moreover, Ben Chilwell would be back from his lengthy injury in the near future.

Given Marcos Alonso’s age, perhaps Emerson can be a backup to the Englishman, but if the Euros 2020 winner is up for that role remains to be seen. Jorginho, meanwhile, is a crucial cog in Tuchel’s wheel and has been very impressive under Tuchel.
Pulisic may not be getting the number of starts that he may want right now, but he is talented and clearly offers important depth and quality on our bench. Hence, fans would want the club to strengthen, rather than weaken themselves this summer and keep a hold of their important squad players.
