Three European teams including Chelsea battling for the next Mohamed Salah

Chelsea are joined by Arsenal and Manchester United in the battle to sign Christopher Nkunku this summer

According to football.london, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are all ready to compete for RB Leipzig’s offensive midfielder Christopher Nkunku this summer. The Frenchman is generating a lot of buzz ahead of the 2022 summer transfer window.

The Leipzig forward has been likened to Mohamed Salah and is looking for a move to the Premier League. The move looks likely as three of the Premier Leagues’ top-flight teams are ready to sign him.

In a 4-0 win over Augsburg on Saturday night, he added two more goals to his tally, bringing his Bundesliga total to 20 this season. This brings him to the list of top 20 plus goal scorers in Europe, a list that includes the likes of Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah.

Along with 20 goals in 33 matches in Bundesliga, the youngster also has 15 assists to his name. Every top European team will want to sign this young sensation.

How will Chelsea make use of this emerging superstar?

Chelsea have been struggling to find a natural striker to score in big matches. Romelu Lukaku was brought in from Inter to address this concern but has fallen well short of expectations.

This has seen Likaku being left on the bench as Thomas Tuchel was not happy with his performance. Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi are other options along with Kai Havertz, who has played CAM for the most part of his career.

Tuchel surely will be looking to get his hands on this youngster to lead the Chelsea attack and extend his goal-scoring form from the Bundesliga to the Premier League next season. But would mostly be considered if they had to sell Lukaku in the summer.
