Thomas Tuchel rebuffs approach from PL rivals looking for a new manager

Manchester United contact Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel over a potential move

According to Christian Falk of BILD on Twitter, Manchester United have made contact with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel regarding a potential move to Old Trafford this summer. They are on the lookout for a new man in charge to take over the reins from Ralf Rangnick after his season.

As such, Man United have expressed an interest to appoint Tuchel as their next manager. They have met with him over the prospects of joining them after the current campaign. However, the Blues coach has firmly conveyed that he would like to stay at Stamford Bridge moving forward.

That being said, the German boss’ stance would depend on how the West London club’s ownership situation develops moving forward. He wants to work under the same condition under the new prospective owners despite his intention to stay. That means there is still a possibility that the coach would leave if that condition is not met in the future.

Potential owners, take note!

There is no way that we can afford to lose the 48-year-old, especially after the success he has brought in a short period. Not to mention, he has also improved us to a point where we can compete against Manchester City and Liverpool, who have enjoyed a head start over the boss’ current project.

We still have some ways to go before catching up to them consistently, but the foundations are there for the club to build on moving forward. Hence, the new potential owners must do their best to make sure that the Blues manager is happy with the takeover.

The Red Devils can try all they want, but we are confident about keeping hold of the former Paris Saint-Germain man if the conditions are met. Let’s hope that the club official recognises the importance of keeping Tuchel, so they must ensure that the club’s future ends up in the right hands.

Stability is the key to long term success, so it is understandable why Tuchel wants to enjoy a similar environment under the new prospective owners. They must realise that the current system in place has helped us reach this stage, so continuing on the same route would be in our best interests.

Hence, maintaining the current progress and improving it would be the key to success rather than changing our focus and trying something different from scratch. The Manchester club’s interest does not worry us in any case, as Tuchel’s future does not depend on their interest right now.

It remains to be seen who will take over the club’s reins at the ownership level in the months to come. That could give us an idea about Tuchel’s future prospects past this summer transfer window.
