Manchester United reluctant to target Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel amidst takeover bid
According to The Sun, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was on the radar of Manchester United for the managerial position. It is now understood that the Red Devils would be hesitant to go after the German manager in light of the takeover saga that could stretch beyond the summer.
The Mancunian club have struggled to find any sort of consistency this campaign whereas the Blues are riding high despite all the obstacles being faced by the club off the field. The former Borussia Dortmund manager has guided the Stamford Bridge outfit to a plethora of titles since he replaced Frank Lampard at the helm.
He even helped them get their hands on their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup which speaks volumes about his pedigree. The German manager has shown great tactical acumen throughout the season in which he has had to overcome injury issues as well as Covid scares coupled with sanctions being placed on the club.–
Tuchel to stay at the Bridge?
All of the above-mentioned feats could make him a great pick for the vacancy at Old Trafford but the boss has shown his loyalty to us in these tough times and it is likely that he will continue at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future. The Blues are heading towards the business end of the season and have fared well till now.
He seems to have brought out the best from the likes of Kai Havertz once again and academy graduates such as Trevoh Chalobah and Reece James have developed well under his tutelage. The 48-year-old manager has been pivotal to the revolution at the London-based club and did not opt to jump ship when many could have done the same in his position.
Tuchel has an impressive resume, coaching some of the best names in football during his time as a manager. His man-management skills and the ability to create a solid defensive foundation have been key in his rise to the top at Stamford Bridge. He took over the reins at Chelsea during a troublesome point and the club hasn’t looked back ever since.
We are in a much better position as compared to the Red Devils who haven’t won a single trophy in five years. Whilst they have had managers come and go, none of them has managed to create a substantial impact in the post-Ferguson era.
Erik ten Hag is being touted as the top contender for the managerial role at Old Trafford right now. While the Dutch manager has shown great abilities and could make the Manchester-based club compete at the highest levels again, it also spells good news for us as it averts any kind of attempt that Man Utd may make for Tuchel.

The German boss has shown great skill in utilising all the available resources to their maximum potential. While there is still no confirmation as to who will be the next owner of this prestigious club, it is safe to say that we feel a lot safer knowing that we have someone like Thomas Tuchel as our manager at the moment.
