Chelsea and Manchester United to battle each other for West Brom wonderkid Jamaldeen Jimoh
According to The Sun, Manchester City has entered the race to sign exciting West Bromwich Albion youngster Jamaldeen Jimoh who remains a transfer target for Chelsea.
He has already made a breakthrough in the England U16 team and continues to see his reputation rise. His incredible ability on the ball and positive mentality continue to fascinate the big clubs of Europe. Still only 15, the youngster could turn into a sensational long term investment.
Due to the excessive interest from top-tier clubs, Jimoh’s West Brom days were already numbered. It is believed that the English starlet’s departure from the Baggies is almost inevitable. But in which team he will land up remains to be seen.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Jimoh in recent times. The Blues already have four players of their own sharing the England U16 sphere with Jimoh. It could be enough for Chelsea to make a winning pitch to the youngster and secure his services.
However, Manchester City’s entry into the equation does add another obstacle for us to overcome. Pep Guardiola’s club has the financial backing and can give us a proper challenge should they choose to.
Even though presently, the Blues might not require a big-money signing, considering the age of crucial midfielders like N’Golo Kanté and Jorginho. The Blues need to plan for the future and will do well to invest in young talents.
The Baggies starlet seems to have the potential to become a top player. With the help and assistance of world-class coaches and a top-notch facility in Cobham, he would be able to channel his energy in the right direction.

Several young players have made it at Stamford Bridge in recent years and the club has shown that there is a pathway from the youth academy to the senior side. Cobham is as good a place as any for Jimoh to further his talents as a footballer.
However, Manchester City’s aggression in the race is an added burden to our team’s pursuit. The Citizens can match anything we can offer Jimoh and the onus is on us to sieze the initiative.
