“Our player”- Rival PL boss makes his feelings clear regarding prolific Chelsea loanee

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl sends Chelsea hierarchy a transfer message over Armando Broja

Speaking after Southampton’s 4-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League, manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has indicated that he would love to keep hold of forward Armando Broja, on loan from Chelsea, permanently in the summer (h/t football.london).

The Albanian scored his fifth Premier League goal this season against Brentford on Tuesday night and was lively throughout the game, making him hard to contain for the Brentford backline.

Broja’s goalscoring ability has clearly left Hasenuttl impressed and eager to snap him up permanently, with the Austrian manager saying that the player too loves playing for the Saints.

“He likes it here, he loves it here. It would be great if he was our player. He wants to be with us, I think. You can feel this at every moment. The fans love him also, this is good.”

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to sign Armando Broja permanently from Chelsea.

Southampton were recently taken over by Dragan Solak, and their new Serbian owner will be keen to make waves in the transfer market by signing exciting talent and stamping their authority in the league. After signing Tino Livramento permanently from Chelsea the previous summer, the Saints will be looking to secure Broja’s services for keeps next summer.

Hasenhuttl has a lot of admiration for young Broja. The Austrian manager believes the 20-year-old is very important for Southampton and will only get better the more he plays.

Broja himself has stated that he is quite happy with his time at St. Mary’s Stadium and being able to play regular first-team football for a Premier League club. He, however, has not commented on his future after the end of the season.

“I’m a young player and it’s amazing for everyone to be able to have this opportunity to be in the Premier League and gain experience and become a better player and work with better players. It’s a dream come true. I’m just trying to improve every day and just learn.”

Hasenhuttl has a lot of admiration for Broja, saying he was very important for Southampton.

Broja is a player Chelsea have marked for the future, and the Blues have high expectations from the Albanian striker. However, with regular first-team football at Southampton and a long-term project in place with new owners at the helm, the player may be tempted to stay at St. Mary’s and continue his development.

Although our forward line is stacked with big names, only Kai Havertz seems to have found his goalscoring touch, with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner failing to make an impact in front of goal. Broja meanwhile, has been one of Southampton’s stars this season and has taken to life in the Premier League with ease.

More Chelsea News

Hasenhuttl seems confident in holding onto the young forward past the summer and negotiating a deal with Chelsea. Having already secured a deal for Livramento last year, the Austrian will hope for more good news on Broja’s situation.

We already seem to have made a mistake in letting Livramento leave the previous summer, seeing as he is performing well in the Premier League amidst our injury crisis. A similar situation should be avoided with Broja.
